K 24 Cutter Knife System

Instead of costly retaining rings of conventional knife systems, the KNECHT K 24 cutter knife system uses a combination of a toothed profile sleeve and simple intermediate rings. The top priority of the K 24 cutter knife system is simple handling and maximum operational safety. Therefore, no moving parts such as bolts or screws are used.

Best production results

Easy handling

Maximum breakage resistance

Highly smooth running

The complete cutting system, consisting of knives, clamping and balancing elements comes from one source. The individual components of the system are manufactured using state-of-the-art production processes and are perfectly matched to each other. The result is a very smooth running of the cutting system – an important prerequisite for high breakage resistance.

In food production, the highest and above all constant quality standards are required. The K 24 cutter knife system can be used on all cutter types and brands. This makes it easier to meet the required standards with a unified cutting system.

The advantages at a glance

Profile sleeve

Profile sleeve

The profile sleeve allows the blades to be installed in 24 different positions (15° offset). This allows many knife groupings. Depending on operational requirements, the K 24 cutter knife system can always be operated with the optimum knife grouping. The toothing prevents the knives from tilting or unintentional loosening during installation. This minimizes the risk of injury when handling the cutting system. The high-precision production of the profile sleeve and the knives ensures easy mounting and dismounting of the knives.
Balancing

Balancing

The K 24 cutter knives are dynamically balanced on the knife shaft. Precisely calculated balancing elements ensure the maximum running smoothness of the cutting system for every knife combination. Re-balancing, for example after grinding, is not necessary. The installation time for an 8-knife set is less than 5 minutes (500-750 l bowl cutter).
Mechanical spring clamping nut MCF

Mechanical spring clamping nut MCF

The spring clamping nut is operated with a light, fixed torque wrench. Heavy spanners and time-consuming clamping of the blades are a thing of the past. The clamping force is approx. 80 kN (8 tons).
Hydromechanical clamping nut HSM

Hydromechanical clamping nut HSM

The hydromechanical clamping nut does not require any clamping key. With a small hydraulic hand pump the cutter knives are clamped quickly, easily and reliably with approx. 90 kN (9 tons).
Significantly increased breakage resistance

Significantly increased breakage resistance

The forces acting on the cutting system during the cutting process lead to a particularly high load on the cutter knives at the clamping points, as well as to stress on the clamping elements. With the K 24 cutter knife system, materials such as plastic can also be used for the intermediate rings. This means that there is no longer steel on steel at the clamping points of the knives. Corrosion at the clamping points is effectively prevented. The vibrations of the knives are damped by using soft materials. Abrupt loads on the cutter knives are reduced and the resistance to breakage is significantly increased.
